Sultry Smokey Valentine’s Day Makeup

Valentine’s Day is literally two days away! What are your plans? Have you got anything romantic planned with your loved one? Or are you going to celebrate Galentines with your girlfriends? I didn’t even know what Galentines was until yesterday. Michael and I are going to do something cute but simple like a picnic by the lake or one of us will cook for each other. We aren’t really the hopeless romantics anymore and we like to appreciate each others love every day we can (as goopy as that sounds!).

This year for my Valentine’s Day makeup I thought I’d do something a little different. I usually go for a some winged liner and lots of lashes but I thought since I have eyelash extensions now, I’d try something a little more suiting to them. I wouldn’t necessarily say this look is more natural, just quite simple to recreate.

This look was achieved mostly with Charlotte Tilbury products (eyes, lips and cheeks). When I think of Charlotte Tilbury as a brand I think sultry eye makeup, glowing skin and pink-nude lips. So that’s essentially what I created.

I started by priming my lids with concealer and setting powder. I then went in with the *Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in THE SOPHISTICATEI used ‘2’ in the crease, which I applied with a Sigma E45 brush, then blended it out with a Sigma E40 brush. Then I used a Sigma E55 brush to apply *Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in MONA LISA to the centre of my eyelids. I then softened the cream shadow with a Sigma E37 brush. I then added ‘4’ from THE SOPHISTICATE palette very softly to my outer corner and under my eyes with an Artiste Flawless Shadow Brush. I then blended everything out with a Sigma E40 brush.

Firstly, I applied Physicians Formula’s Butter Bronzer. I then went in with the *Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish and Pop Blush in Love is My DrugOn the back of the product it states to swish the outer shade on the cheekbone and the middle shade on the apples of the cheek. So that is exactly what I did. It gave my complexion that pretty slightly flushed look. I then went in with Becca Cosmetics Vanilla Quartz Shimmering Skin Perfecter on my cheekbones.

I really wanted to focus on gorgeous pinky-nude lips for this look. Firstly, I filled and slightly overdrew my lips with the *Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk which is essentially a gorgeous pinky terracotta nude.  I then used the absolutely stunning *Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in Kidman’s KissIt’s such a gorgeous shade! I’m obsessed.

Finito! I hope you guys love this Valentine’s Day look as much as I do!
