Sigma Chroma Glow & Nightlife Brush Set Review

The Chroma Glow Shimmer & Highlight Palette is literally beyond its time. And these Sparkle Brushes – the perfect set for creating day to night glam.

Before we go onto the review of the beautiful Chroma Glow, I thought I’d mention a little bit about the Sparkle Brushes. There are five of Sigma’s top selling brushes including:

  • E15 Flat Definer
  • E25 Blending
  • E55 Eye Shading
  • F35 Tapered Highlight
  • F40 Large Angled Contour

My favourites out of this set are the E35 Tapered highlight and E25 Blending. Personally, I love to use the E35 for a subtle cheek highlight and the brush is also still quite small that I can get a nice glow on my brow bone area. The E25 blending makes my life SO much easier when it comes to patting on colour in the outer v, especially when using smokey shadows. It definitely helps out with blending out harsher lines. An essential in my collection!

Now, onto the Chroma Glow!

The packaging is this gorgeous pool of colour. This kind of reminds me of one of those disco cards you move around and the dimensions would change. It doesn’t exactly do that, but it triggers some association for me. It comes with a mirror which makes the palette much more travel friendly.

The colours are quite different to what you’d expect. There are six shades (swatched top to bottom) and according to the Sigma website they’re described as:

  • Peaceful: Subtle-sweet, peach pink
  • Ambrosia: Light, pop-princess pink
  • Zeal: Aqua purple duo-chrome
  • Bedazzle: Bold, warm peach sizzle
  • Lush: Searing-hot pink
  • Felicity: Cool, crystal lavender

Chroma Glow is also very versatile with Bedazzle, Lush and Felicity as they are able to be worn as a blush too. I do have an Instagram video featuring a short clip of my using the palette which i’ll insert below. I use Bedazzle as a blush and Peaceful as highlight.

Overall thoughts

I do really enjoy this palette. It is definitely more of a fun palette, rather than an everyday wear, so I may not reach for it as much as my others. I do love how versatile the palette is (as mentioned before) the bottom row double as blushes. However, I believe shades like Zeal and Felicity would make gorgeous eyeshadow colours. Zero issues were had with application; the formula is silky and buttery smooth.

Have you tried any of Sigma’s latest goodies?
